A Collective to Promote Indigenous Cultures

The Indigenous Collective was created in 2024 with the goal of using fashion as a bridge for knowledge and recognition of Indigenous cultures.

“We want to showcase the work of First Nations and, above all, convey the richness and creativity of our cultures through our clothing, jewelry, shoes, accessories, and other creations,” explains Jason Picard-Binet, president of Bastien Canada and a member of the Collective.

A First Participation at the Montreal Fashion Week

“This is a first-time experience for the Collective and for the Montreal Fashion Week organization,” Jason explains. “It’s an extraordinary opportunity for both sides and a great showcase to demonstrate who we are and highlight Indigenous talents.”
